Hi, I’m Mia. I’m an independent senior copywriter and creative strategist, brand naming specialist, entrepreneur and journalist. 

Language designs things and is designed. Using my skills to shape language fuels my fire– whether I’m naming a new brand, crafting impactful taglines, or working to re-shape the lexicon of an entire industry. I love getting to the heart of what matters and using language to drive impact for businesses and brands. 

My strategic approach to naming has delivered ownable, resilient master brand, sub-brand and product names for some of the world's biggest companies including Mars Wrigley, Mondelez International, General Mills, Staples, General Electric, Walmart, CVS, MolsonCoors and Coca-Cola.

I am also co-founder of the women's health innovation company, Nyssa, which I exited in 2023. During my time as Chief Content Officer, Nyssa’s patented designs were featured in international museums and we were celebrated by Forbes as "revolutionising the landscape of women's wellbeing." A former music journalist (and indie band guitarist!), I now write about women’s health issues for publications including The Washington Post and HuffPost.
